The part number 8971298300 is the original gearbox cover (timing gear chamber cover) that ISUZU (Isuzu) provides for the 4BG1 series four cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. This component is mainly used to seal the engine timing gear chamber, prevent dust and impurities from entering, and maintain internal lubrication. It is a key protective component to ensure the precise operation of the timing system. Its universal models cover various medium-sized hydraulic excavators equipped with 4BG1 engines, such as Hitachi ZX120, ZX135, ZX160 and other 12-16 ton models, as well as domestic excavators such as Sany SY155C-9 and Shanhe Intelligent SWE150. This product is a gear chamber cover plate made of cast iron or cast aluminum material. It is equipped with oil resistant rubber gaskets (usually made of NBR or FKM fluororubber) as standard, with a temperature range of -30 ℃ to+150 ℃, which can effectively prevent oil leakage and external pollutant invasion. The cover body has good rigidity and deformation resistance, and is suitable for harsh environments such as high temperature and vibration in the engine compartment. It weighs about 3-5kg and is usually treated with rust prevention (such as painting or phosphating) on the surface.

Inspection cycle: Check every 500 working hours or once every quarter. Key inspection: 1 Whether the sealing gasket is aging, cracking, or leaking oil; 2. Check for cracks and deformation in the cover body; 3. Check if the fixing bolts are loose (torque 20-30N · m). Cleaning and maintenance: Every time the engine oil is changed, wipe the oil stains on the surface of the cover with a cleaning agent to ensure that the sealing surface is clean and free of impurities. Timing of replacement: When the sealing gasket fails and causes oil leakage, or when the cover body deforms and affects the sealing or when the system is disassembled for correction, it should be replaced synchronously. Disassembly and installation: 1 Remove the surrounding accessories (such as pulleys and sensors); 2. Loosen the fixing bolts in diagonal order; 3. Gently tap to remove the old cover (to avoid damaging the sealing surface); Before installing the new cover, clean the sealing surface and replace it with a new sealing gasket; 5. Tighten the bolts in diagonal order to the specified torque.
