The original Isuzu 4HK1 engine common rail pressure reducing valve (part number: 8973186910, also commonly written as 8-9731869-1-0) is the core safety component of the high-pressure common rail fuel system. The common rail pressure reducing valve (also known as a pressure limiting valve or relief valve) is the "safety guard" of the engine's electronically controlled high-pressure common rail system. As a pure mechanical safety valve, it is usually installed on the common rail pipe and consists of a valve body, precision piston, pressure spring, and return oil passage inside. Under normal working pressure (e.g. about 135MPa), the spring force presses the piston tightly against the valve seat, maintaining the sealing of the common rail system.
