The original fuel injector seat sleeve of Isuzu, with the universal part number 8980184620 (also commonly referred to as 8-98018462-0), is a core sealing and positioning component designed specifically for Isuzu 6HK1 series diesel engines. This component is mainly used to precisely fix and seal the fuel injector on the engine cylinder head. It is mainly suitable for Hitachi brand excavators equipped with Isuzu 6HK1 engine, such as ZX330 and other models.
 

The fuel injector seat cover (or injector copper cover) is usually made of copper alloy material with high thermal conductivity and excellent wear resistance. Its core function is to serve as a precise interface between the fuel injector and the engine cylinder head: on the one hand, it presses into the cylinder head mounting hole through interference fit, providing precise radial positioning for the fuel injector and ensuring the correct position of the fuel injector tip in the combustion chamber; On the other hand, its precise sealing surface cooperates with the fuel injector to prevent high-pressure fuel and combustion gas leakage, while efficiently conducting the heat generated by the fuel injector during operation to the cooling water jacket of the cylinder head.
 

The fuel injector seat cover is a relatively durable component, but it needs to be inspected during fuel injector maintenance or replacement. When the engine experiences fuel dilution, blue and white smoke from the exhaust pipe, decreased power, or poor single cylinder operation, and after ruling out the injector itself, it should be suspected that the seat cover seal has failed. During maintenance, it is necessary to use a specialized pulling tool to remove the old seat sleeve from the cylinder head and thoroughly clean the installation holes to ensure that there are no carbon deposits or burrs. Before installing the new seat cover, a small amount of lubricating grease can be applied to its outer surface. Use a specialized installation tool or a suitable sized core shaft to press it into place with smooth and vertical pressure. It is strictly prohibited to strike it.
