Part number 4437838 is an original filter cartridge produced by Hitachi Construction Machinery's Philippines factory. The support chain (chain rail joint) lubrication or tensioning system used for crawler excavators serves as the filtering unit for this independent lubrication circuit. Its universal models mainly cover Hitachi ZX200-5G, as well as 20-24 ton tracked platform models with similar tonnage and chassis design, such as ZX200-5A, ZX210-5G, ZX240-5G, etc. As the designated filter element of the original factory, its interface is perfectly matched with the filter seat of the support chain system. It is strictly prohibited to use a universal filter element as a substitute to avoid poor lubrication, abnormal chain wear, or tension failure.

This product is a metal wire mesh filter with a cylindrical body and a precise star shaped pleated structure to maximize the filtration area. The filter material is a silver white stainless steel or special alloy woven mesh, used to intercept larger metal debris and impurities in lubricating oil, with a filtration accuracy usually between 100-150 microns. There is a black fine support mesh inside to ensure structural strength. Both ends are equipped with black end caps, and one end is integrated with a black rubber sealing ring to ensure reliable sealing after installation. Its working pressure is relatively low (usually the pressure of the lubrication system, about 0.1-0.5 MPa), with a temperature resistance range of about -20 ℃ to+100 ℃, and can withstand long-term immersion in gear oil or grease.
Replacement cycle: It is recommended to check/replace every 1000 working hours or once a year, and in harsh working conditions such as sand and mud, it should be shortened to 500 working hours. Replacement steps: 1 Cleaning: Before replacing, clean the dirt around the filter housing. 2. Pressure relief: Slowly loosen the filter cover or vent screw to release system pressure. 3. Disassembly: Use a special tool to unscrew the old filter element and catch the waste oil flowing out with a container. 4. Clean the seat body: Thoroughly clean the sealing surface and oil stains inside the filter seat with a lint free cloth. 5. Installation: Apply a small amount of clean system lubricant on the sealing ring of the new filter element, then screw the filter element into the base by hand until the sealing ring contacts, and finally tighten it by 3/4 turn with a tool (reference torque 15-20 N · m).
