Part number 4454479 is the original air filter (dry paper filter element) provided by Hitachi Construction Machinery for the EX1800-3 series 180 ton large hydraulic excavator. This component is mainly used for filtering the engine intake system, effectively intercepting impurities such as dust and sand in the air, ensuring clean engine intake and sufficient combustion. Its universal models cover three series of large excavators including Hitachi EX1800-3, EX1200-3, EX800-3, as well as some ZX series models on the same platform. As a core maintenance component of the original factory, its interface size and sealing performance are precisely matched with the engine intake pipeline. This product is a dry swirl air filter. The outer shell material is usually engineering plastic+metal bracket, and the interior is made of multi-layer composite filter paper (milky white, fine paper). Typical technical parameters: initial filtration efficiency ≥ 99.5%, filtration efficiency can reach 99.99% during use, maximum dust holding capacity is about 2000g, working temperature -40 ℃ to+80 ℃. The filter has a built-in safety filter element (disposable, non washable) and a dust removal valve (automatic dust removal). The sealing ring is made of oil resistant rubber, ensuring 100% sealing without air leakage. The filter structure is foldable, with a large effective filtering area, low flow resistance, and strong pollutant holding capacity.

Replacement cycle: Replace every 2000 working hours or when the warning light is on; The outer filter element can be cleaned (needs to be replaced after up to 6 times), while the inner filter element is a disposable item (cannot be cleaned). Replacement steps: 1 Turn off the engine and wait for 5 minutes; 2. Open the air filter housing; 3. Remove the old filter element (from the outside to the inside); 4. Clean the inner wall of the shell with a damp cloth (high-pressure air blowing is prohibited); 5. Install a new filter element (ensure that the sealing ring is in place); 6. Lock the casing tightly. Attention: 1 When cleaning the outer filter element, use compressed air to blow from the inside out (pressure ≤ 0.3MPa); 2. Check if the dust removal valve is functioning properly (ensure that the dust removal valve is facing downwards during installation); 3. Do not clean the filter element too frequently (wait for the pressure difference alarm before cleaning); 4. After replacement, start the engine and check for any air leaks;
