Part number 4257128 is an original fuel tank level sensor (fuel tank float) designed specifically for the ZX200-3 hydraulic excavator. The universal model of this component is this part number, mainly used for the ZX200-3 model, and may also be applicable to the same platform models with the same fuel system design (such as early models of ZX200-5G). As the core sensing component of the original factory, its float stroke and output signal characteristics are perfectly matched with the instrument panel.

This product is a float type oil level sensor, with a black cylindrical top made of oil resistant engineering plastic float that floats up and down with the oil level. The slender metal rod transmits the displacement of the float to the bottom. The circular metal base at the bottom is the core, which is equipped with a precision potentiometer (variable resistor) inside, which can convert the position of the float into a linear resistance signal. An oil resistant wire is led out from the side of the base, with a waterproof connector at the end, used to connect the vehicle harness. Its working voltage is usually DC 12V/24V, the output signal is stable, and it can withstand diesel environments for a long time. Its working principle determines that the float must move smoothly throughout the entire process without any jamming, otherwise it will cause inaccurate readings on the oil gauge.

Installation points: 1 Cleaning: Thoroughly clean the installation surface of the fuel tank port before installation. 2. Alignment installation: Place the sensor (4257128) vertically and aligned into the fuel tank port, ensuring that the float and lever can swing freely and interference free throughout the entire process. Tighten the installation bolts with a torque of approximately 8-12 N · m. 3. Connection test: Be sure to plug in the electrical connector tightly and lock the buckle. After installation, turn on the power without starting the engine, manually move the float slowly and fully, and observe whether the oil gauge pointer on the dashboard changes smoothly and without jumping from "E" to "F". This is a key test to verify whether the installation and sensors are functioning properly.
